
Director Jeff Solylo received the "Perogie d'or" award from his crew members at the premiere of EAST OF EUCLID at the NSI FilmExchange Film Festival in March 2004.

Jeff Solylo was born in Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Manitoba’s School of Art. While working as a graphic artist and photographer, Solylo joined the Winnipeg Film Group and served as the Art Director on Guy Maddin’s acclaimed feature films Tales from the Gimli Hospital, Archangel, and Careful, for which he received a Blizzard Award.
Solylo formed his own production company called E.K. Soul Productions in 1993 and produced a short film titled Latent Greatness, that has been shown at festivals across Canada.
For the past few years, Solylo has been working on EAST OF EUCLID, his first feature length film, which was shot on location in the North End of Winnipeg and at the Winnipeg Film Group studio.
EAST OF EUCLID premiered at the NSI FilmExchange Film Festival in March 2004.
“East of Euclid” was selected to screen at the Boston Underground Film Festival on Friday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brattle Theatre. |
